Following its world premiere in 2017, Girl from the North Country returns to The Old Vic for a strictly limited run.
It’s 1934 and, with life on a knife edge, the community of Duluth are battling their way through the Great Depression. Amongst the dust and the hardship, a group of wayward travellers find each other — experiencing love, loss, life and everything in between, in a local guesthouse filled with music, hope and soul.
With a company of 23 actors and musicians, award-winning playwright Conor McPherson beautifully weaves the iconic songbook of Bob Dylan into this smash hit show.
Don’t miss your final chance to see this multi-Tony and Olivier Award winner as it returns to where it all began, for nine weeks only.

wonderful and emotional, great use of the lyrics
Indulgence - as so good, this was a repeat visit
Great show.
Great production, extremely talented cast, excellent singing voices, some exceptional, fantastic choreography and movement across the stage by the ensemble. Storyline a little obscured perhaps by the songs? Would have liked to have heard title song “girl from the North country” - if it was performed I missed it!
Good music but confused with the plot had to go away and read story
A fabulous production! I loved every aspect of it, the music of course! The costumes and the dancing and acting. Unfortunately the view from the seats we had in the Stalls wasn't the best, but they were rather last minute seats.
The production is brilliant, acting and singing wonderful.
Very good production .... expensive seats
The play was excellent but the seats were shocking - could only see a third of the stage yet the tickets did not say restricted view - will never sit in such appalling seats again
Finally saw the show .Brilliant from start to finish .
Amazing script and Elizabeth Laine esp gave an anazing performance. Pity that the play dragged its heels after the interval and the selection of Dylan songs was not so amazing!
Insanely good acting and music
